RICHMOND SEASON 2025
ANZAC ROUND
ROUND 7 MELBOURNE
We would like to remind the filthy scum of the Greens political party, who hate this country and all things it stands for, particularly democracy and hard fought for freedoms which were attained only through death.
Death of our diggers and all other Western military personnel.
Naturally, Labor are preferencing this group of human, immoral, and repugnant to humanity filth who do everything within their power to destroy Australia. Labor ministers are preferencing the Greens who support Hamas’s murdering, raping, and jihad against us all in the West who they would all murder at the drop of a hat.
These Labor ministers and the PM are preferencing the Green Anti-Christ in their own seats, including, in particular the cowards who are Dreyfuss and Albanese. Naturally, both of these repugnant, immoral cowards stated they would never preference the Anti-Christ that is the Greens. Oh, never! of course.
Dreyfuss and Albanese, and the rest of you who are preferencing the Greens’ Anti-Christ really are men bereft of any honour. We really are led by dishonourable, cowardly scum, which is the reason we have nothing to do with this election fiasco. And that’s without discussing your renewable obsessed mental illness and your economic policy madness.
As we keep saying, the Australian electorate, who these days, unlike our Diggers, are just a bunch of sheep and will get what they deserve.
So, today we honour and pay tribute to all those heroes who died for the freedoms we enjoy. Freedoms that we can never take for granted, since China currently has an eye on taking all of our freedoms away if they could. This will probably happen one day since we have put ourselves in the position of not being able to defend ourselves at all. The main thing is, of course, that the military is "diverse", packed full of non white men.
There are going to be games where effort is put in, like last week, and then there are going to be games where the effort is missing.
The whole idea and ethos behind this year is to build consistency of effort and energy and thus pressure.
It’s intense pressure that wins games. That’s what our men in the backline did every year for years on end, especially between 2017-2020.
There was yet another debutante in Gray who looks like a prospect. He looks like a real footballer but we’ll see.
There was a time during the third quarter when the pressure gauge read Melbourne 287, Richmond 188.
Melbourne outclassed you.
Tiges, you will have to lift your effort, energy, and commitment to winning the ball at each and every contest this week as you’re up against a much more formidable and fierce opponent in the Hawks. This week, as the Diggers did, it will be time to put your bodies on the line.
Effort, energy, commitment = pressure.
ROUND 6 EASTER
Gold Coast Suns
The reality of our situation at Tigerland is that we have a two-tier system at the moment based on experience.
When the young kids get going, they are putting on a masterclass. This is due to the fact that due to early draft picks (we are currently watching the film Draft Day with Kevin Kostner), they may turn out to have some class. We know that Lalor does, as does Seth Campbell who has been with us for a while, but who is really starting to show his class. Trainor has been going well possession wise but this does not necessarily convert into what he does with the ball. He has turned it over a lot in games this year and needs to work on this.
Last night, we were incredibly impressed with Tresize. He really put in and, last night for the first time, really showed that he has huge potential. It was great to see Maurice Rioli back at speed. We mentioned last year just what an amazing tackler he is. He is ferocious! Samson Ryan did well under circumstances where Big Nank does need to have a rest at times. Don’t criticise Big Nank for being on the bench. He needs a breather. I mean, look at how much his legs are bandaged up. But he just never ever stops putting in. He is a true leader and captain. Highlight was his one-grab mark in the last quarter in the back line, as usual.
Great to see Lynchy up and about and seemingly not too affected by injury. It is the case that he is going to really enjoy carrying that sole responsibility up forward considering that for so long he had to share this role with our great Jack Riewoldt. Geez, we still miss your presence and your antics and your leadership, Jack. But Lynchy is enjoying carrying the load.
As Vlasto was saying it is the case that our Premiership mob is involved in two important roles at the moment. The first is as teachers and leaders. We could not have a greater stocked back line of truly great Premiership players in Vlastuin, Broad, Balta, Shorty, Macca (with home and away headband) and now Miller, who has matured hugely this year and found his place up back. Plus Nank.
Their second role is to save matches due to their vast experience and success when the young kids fall away, which they will. The point is that this Premiership unit has the ability to put in every single match they play because they have had to do that week after week for so many years. They are match hardened to deliver every week.
Taranto and Hopper were stunning in their work effort last night, Taranto leaving the field almost unable to talk. They utterly destroyed the highly-rated Gold Coast midfield. You blokes are just another part of the what is emerging as a beautiful balance of old and new given that you are both old and new. Not new to the game but new to the club still.
Throw in Dion Prestia in that mix, together with Lalor and Campbell and co and there is something to perhaps look forward to as we continue to get our system right.
Jonty Faull provided some great assistance up front last night and looks the goods. We’ll see.
We can start to see the beginnings of a great balance here between the new and the old.
Last night there was no Trainor, Bauer, Blight, Sonsie, or Armstrong which suggests that we perhaps also have some depth. Bauer, Blight, and Armstrong are all ready to give Lynchy assistance up front. We also have fellas who have not appeared yet who are still waiting in the wings.
So, congratulations to Adem Yze, Rutten, Campo, and Newman.
As Vlasto said, there are going to be ups and downs based on the new kids ability to deliver consistency. The most important thing is that they do not get injured so we need plenty of strength training with them.
Gold Coast, you really made yourselves look incredibly stupid taking on the tough guy, thug role. You are not tough guys and our advice to Richmond is to ignore that kind of moronic shit and play the ball. No one who lives on the Gold Coast is tough considering what a vacuous, substanceless shithole of a place it is. Oh, we have such great beaches! And the usual QLD mantra of “our weather...” Pity you’ve got nothing else. What a fucken shithole.
We lived there for 5 years of our life, under extremely bad circumstances, we will give you that (Labrador and right on the Indy track at Kings Row Centre for 3 years) and just like Brisbane, there is no escaping the putrid narrow-mindedndess that goes with living in QLD along with the extreme hatred of anyone from “down south” (the Mexicans). So go fuck yourselves, we beat the shit out of you weak cunts.
Well done, Tiges. That was great to watch.
We are now formally on the waiting list for our important surgery and we have been advised that we will probably not undergo surgery until late June. We are simply involved in ongoing management of our condition in a holding pattern but we would love to get to some of these upcoming games at the MCG if possible. We’ll see as we take things from day to day.
We often think of Neal Daniher a lot.
Well done, Tiges.
GATHER ROUND THE ELITIST TABLE
Fremantle
The elitist Grange Hermitage sipping, Barossa Valley loving AFL can go fuck themselves.
We have no comment when it comes to this round. “Enjoying the ‘Simple Pleasures’ of Life”. You’ve got to be fucken joking.
Flogged by Fremantle.
ROUND 4 BRISBANE
After the game, Yze said, apparently, that “we’re here to win” and that “near enough isn’t good enough.” Fair enough. Good to hear that stuff coming out of his mouth.
After the game, Nathan Broad stated that “we played two good quarters last week and three good quarters today.” We understand that Nathan Broad is enjoying playing with the new young group and is re-invigorated by them, however, whoever you are, putting in for two quarters isn’t good enough because, despite all the shite that comes out of everyone’s mouths in relation to statistics and tactics, and all the other irrelevant bs in football, there is only one thing that matters in football and that is commitment. Commitment to winning the ball and the contest. Everything else is just side salad.
Let’s talk about the reality of that match against Brisbane. As they said on 3AW, it was the current Premiers versus the current wooden spooners. In this context, and taking into consideration where Richmond are in their ongoing development, that was a very good result. We enjoyed Brad Hardy’s impetus. Was he not an original Brisbane Bear?
The reason it was a good result is because you were more committed than the past two weeks. You did not fade away into oblivion when challenged, you fought back in the last quarter with great character. That’s not easy coming off a massive flogging. Also, as we watched the game, despite Brisbane’s obvious class around the ground and with Lachy Neale gaining 40 possessions, there were some very authentic, well-connected and constructed transitions of the football through the centre of the ground which looked quite impressive, and best of all, ended up hitting the forward target. That was truly great to watch. You can see the beginnings of a game coming together slowly there. So, you need to keep working on that strength.
Lalor had a great game. Perhaps he is built for the MCG. Trainor needs help around him when he wins the ball so that he does not turn it over by kicking it straight to the opposition. He needs some help in assisting him with offloading connecting handballs. Blight is a swingman and is going really well. Bauer impressed and made a stamp late in the game and Harry Armstrong is steady as she goes.
The main statistic pointed out by Libby? on 3AW after the game was the 60 to 40 inside 50s to Brisbane, which did not convert for them on the scoreboard, which meant that Richmond’s defence stood reasonably solid. Yes, Broady, Vlasto, Shorty, Miller, Trainor when he’s back there and Nank and the rest are going reasonably well in the back half.
The forward line needs more movement. That will come but you need to work on that.
In terms of pressure, you did very well against a first-class opponent. However, we would say that you cannot rest on your laurels and that THAT level of pressure is now your baseline. You cannot go under 170 ever again and you need to improve on that level of pressure progressively during the rest of the season. We understand that there will be ups and downs but your main focus is to keep that baseline of pressure up and beyond 170. So your first goal is to move it on up to above 180+.
The reality of that game was that, thankfully, you persevered. You did not go down waving the white flag as was the case in the last two weeks. So, well done.
It’s all about commitment, determination, and perseverance in the face of daunting pressure, as is the case in life.
We have a very well-worn piece of paper which we kept next to our bed for about 15 years when we were very ill for a very long time, thanks largely to medical neglect, which we now keep in the garage. We recommend you young fellas do the same now.
RYAN MANSELL TEST CASE
AFL Penalties Are Not Commensurate with the Crime
Our view is that the push was "unreasonable". He did not necessarily have any knowledge of the impending marking contest, however, as the Gestapo at the AFL ruled.
The long and the short of it is that it's not the infringement that is the problem. When it comes to the AFL, it is ALWAYS the unfair, over the top, heavy, and unreasonable punishment.
This is the case in relation to the "stand rule" and "outside 50" 50 metre penalties. The punishment does not fit the crime. The punishment is excessive. It always is.
And so, as we always say, this push is worth a 1 week suspension. 3 weeks is just outrageous and way over the top. At least the AFL are totally consistent with their unfair, inequitable, unjust, and outrageously heavy penalties that are never commensurate with the crime committed by the player.
ROUND 3 ST. KILDA
Welcome to your Character Building Journey
It’s a young team, we know that. However, there is absolutely no reason to throw in the towel like that. You cannot, whoever you are, surrender disgracefully like that, ever.
Because St. Kilda, despite what people may say, are just not that good.
So, you are going to have to look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that that was a gutless, disgraceful performance of zero character.
We watched the first three quarters and then listened to it as we walked the dog and, in the last quarter, as you decided to completely disappear from the trenches, like the main character in “The Red Badge of Courage”, and the Saints just walked all over you gutless wonders, Tony Shaw said “well, we know it’s just Richmond but what’s impressive is the way St. Kilda just will not stop / give an inch / keep on belting you.”
So, as you look yourselves in the mirror, young chaps, ask yourselves the question: do I want to be considered by AFL greats as just a useless punching bag?
Pull your f%cken finger out and show some character, whatever you do this week.
All of you new blokes, Lalor, Trainer, Bauer, Blight, Armstrong and the rest of you are going to need to do some real good hard thinking about whether you want to take yourselves to the next level in playing at this level. As Dr Davidson of Footscray said on Friday night, in the VFL playing for Richmond, there were a few seconds to respond with the ball but at AFL level they are on you so quickly that there is only a second to respond.
Respond, you must, whatever age or experience you hold.
So, welcome to Tigerland because that is what we expect and that is how we go about the building of character. Life is real hard and quite long and so is football if you want to be around for a while at the top.
ROUND 3
THE KAYO HUBBLE LAUNCH
Dr Davidson, We Presume
We've decided we have no choice. We've been watching footy and League on Kayo for a few years now, and we figure that $25 for one screen is okay.
We can't get to games at the moment so how else are we going to watch the Tiges? It's a must watch for Richmond supporters at the moment as we assess the youngsters' progress.
We have been watching the Sheffield Shield final.
The past two nights viewing of the footy on Channel 7 have been remarkable. The Dons had a great win over Port and last night we all witnessed a really gutsy come from behind win by Footscray over Carlton.
We, like everyone else, was impressed by Dr Sam Davidson who is studying medicine but has put it on hold for the moment, wot he was telling Richo, Daisy, and Abbey after the game. We were enthralled by the guts of the Western Bulldogs, who just never gave up, and they sure are in safe hands with Libber, who leads all the young kids so superbly through his actions. Naughten had a shocker but kicked the most important goal of the match.
Brodie Kemp (17) kicked a bag of 5 for the Blues.
We would like to know why Davidson, who was playing VFL with Richmond last year, is not currently playing for the Tigers? I mean, WTF is wrong with you? Can you coaches at the Tigers (who never had too much onfield success yourselves) not spot talent? Or is it the death of our beloved recruiter last year? ForFsSake.
Rory Lobb has found his niche as a solid backman, but can play forward, as he did in the West, also. And he can ruck. And the Sudanese fellow? Buku Khamis (24) is yet another great African success story, real solid in the back half, following in the footsteps of the many African boys who have taken up our game so beautifully well. Aliir Aliir and Cholly and co.
We've got the Tigers v Saints at 4.15pm and tonight is the rescheduled game between Brisbane v Geelong.
Great stuff. Do yaself a favour and thanks Kayo for existing.
ROUND 2 PORT ADELAIDE
Kayo Premium (2 Screens) $40 mth
Well Tiges, we suppose that's how the season is going to pan out. Up and down. Keep your chin up. We didn’t get to see the game. We listened to it on radio 3AW since we don't have Kayo. It's like being transported back to the 1970s thanks to the uncaring deadshit elitist filth at the corporation that is the AFL. Do your review and improve, obviously on effort and pressure.
On this point, wouldn't it have been great to watch the Saints go marching in last night against Geelong. Not possible thanks to the elitist crew at the AFL who have decided no footy on free-to-air TV on Saturdays. This is something that is really outrageous. However, just like during Covid, people seem to enjoy being shafted by the elite.
For all their hullabaloo and bullshite in relation to "welcome to country" and all things woke, what the AFL have done and said by their actions is "we shove our finger, our hand, and indeed a football up the arse of every ordinary football fan who cannot afford Foxtel or Kayo during a cost of living crisis".
Thanks to Labor's idiocy in relation to "renewables", the utter stupidity of "let's put all our eggs in one basket" approach to energy policy, this has largely contributed to skyrocketing energy prices that have put ordinary households under inordinate pressure and destroyed small businesses. Most people and families would desperately need to put the large cost of Foxtel or Kayo into their electricity accounts.
Naturally, the out of touch elitist garbage at the AFL, like the out of touch elitist garbage in the woke ALP "LaborGreen", whose regressive policies are to shut everything that is necessary for our sustainability and survival down, think that this is all okay.
It's not okay.
So, last night we watched the Waratahs v Brumbies and our interest in union and league will continue throughout the season thanks to being shafted by the AFL.
You woke deadshits are a disgrace to the elderly and the poor and the struggling. But at least we can all watch "women's footy".
Once again we say f*ck the AFL.
THE EVIDENCE
Paramount+ $6.99 mth
Binge $4.99 mth
Apple TV $11 mth
Stan $ 15 (without sport)
Hayu $9
Kayo $25-40 mth (more than 1 screen, which you need) = $40
Foxtel $69 - 148 mth
Yes, the woke AFL and woke LaborGreen will always look after you, the ordinary punter. And thanks to LaborGreen, make sure you sit on your $17 pint of beer for the whole game if you're out.
We rest our case.
ROUND 1 CARLTON
Epic win from behind.
The new boys and the debutantes were fully energised and brought full pressure.
It was a joy to watch.
AFL TYPICAL DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR
Yes, this is outrageous for those people who cannot afford Kayo.
It is not correct at all to say that most people expect to pay for content these days. As Paul Roos correctly states, many poor and elderly people will be shut out of watching footy all season on Saturdays. What about people who are ill and cannot attend games?
The real fact of the matter is that Kayo is actually very expensive compared to other streaming services. You can purchase some streaming services for as little as $10. Most are much cheaper than Kayo, except if you are paying for Stan plus Stan sport.
It's typical of the AFL's destruction of our game, and its focus on money. They shaft us in exactly the same way the Labor Party does while always telling us what we can say and how to think.
Do any of these filthy corporate mongrels who are all driving around in their Mercedes, BMWs, Audis, and Lexus's, always worth a good laugh, understand that for the past two years there has been a cost-of-living crisis?
This is why we say F*CK THE AFL.
Maybe we'll just stick to rugby and NRL.
Yet another deadshit in charge who has risen up through the protected corporate ranks of the AFL who no doubt knows f^ck all about football and does not live in the real world and who couldn't care less.
Dillon the Deadshit.
ROUND 0
F&ck the AFL
Well, the season is underway, albeit two games only in "Round 0" due to the cyclone.
We fail to understand what the bloody hell the AFL is doing playing "Round 0" consisting of 4 games at the start of the season. It's ridiculous. Typical bullshit AFL garbage, wholly lopsided meaningless rubbish based on their only purpose, which is to continually introduce "changes" into a game that does not need to change.
It certainly is representative, as usual, of their mediocre brains trust at this woke, truly weak sporting organisation in the same vein as Rugby Australia and Cricket Australia. Their role collectively is to run games of football not impose their bullshit ESR and "Diversity, Equity, and Lies" on the public. Their bullshit social engineering based on the lies now being thrown into the rubbish bin all over the world.
So, let's get this off our chest early. F%ck the AFL and your continual changes to our great game, your unfair and inequitable and unjust 50 metre rule, your unfair and unjust "outside 5" bullshit, and all the rest of the total crap that was supposed to "speed the game up" but has actually slowed it down. Most of all, f#ck your unfair, unjust, inequitable and robotic “stand” rule, which combined with the 50 metre penalty has largely tilted our great game into unfairness. And f^ck your overall mollycoddling weakness.
So, getting back to what is important, our rookies and new players are a breath of fresh air.
1 Sam Lalor: sustained a shocking jaw injury with 2 wisdom teeth removed and a metal plate inserted in his jaw after that sickening West Coast clash. He looks like he’s all set to go so long as he trains okay next week.
2 Luke Trainor: it’s the case that he may play in Round 1.
3 Thomas Sims: 199 cm may also play.
4 Harry Armstrong: 195 cm may also get a run.
5 Liam Fawcett: he is a 2023 draft pick out all last year with a back injury.
It may be the case that if these fellas listed above are picked in the side, then we may be looking at 5 rookies playing for the Tiges in Round 1. If that is not exciting, despite the obvious inexperience, then we dunno what is! We’re going to need to get these guy’s engines rolling over smoothly as soon as possible, we reckon, as part of our new system.
6 Jonty Faull: 2024 draft pick is injured and set to return via the VFL.
7 Josh Smillie: number 7 draft pick, has sustained a hammy injury and is being nursed back to health. Good man yourself.
It's going to be a very interesting year as we try to graft the new onto the old creating precision, boldness, discipline, and perseverance during a very long season for our new crew of youngsters. The coaching staff at the Tiges have a lot on their hands trying to integrate all of the above together to make a new dynamic system.
So, let’s all be patient and enjoy watching the new fellas as they are helped along by our Premiership players on the field.
There was a great article in the Weekend Australian on Daniel Rioli. He loves the Gold Coast. We’re not talking about the club, but the place. Mermaid Waters to be precise. Being a Tiwi Islander, we would expect the great Daniel to love the warmth, the beach, and the fishing. It must be truly great being back side by side with Dimma. We thank you so much, Daniel Rioli for what you did at Richmond and to us, you will always be a Tiger. You will never not be a Tiger. Three Premierships. We love you very much, even in your new orange strip. Have a great year, Daniel, and look after your knee.
